Howard has over 25 years in consulting and executive leadership. He has wide and deep experience of operating at board and C suite level across a wide range of business sectors and territories. Howard’s core skill set is as a business transformation/change practitioner with a focus on executive teams, organisation culture, people engagement and performance improvement.
Commercial and pragmatic in his approach, Howard has led to or contributed to a range of significant change programmes including M&A (acquisition of Novartis Influenza Vaccines, trade sale of Cargill Investor Services, acquisition of Baan NV technology), HR functional build/upgrade (Instinet Corp and PA Consulting), restructuring and organisation design, new business build (JPMorgan commodities brokerage) and privatisation/outsourcing (Lloyds Bank, MOD & RAF). He has held a number of senior advisory, interim and corporate roles, mostly with a global remit. He has hands on experience across EMEA, North & South America, Asia and the CIS. The organisations Howard has assisted and worked with include Barclays, Cargill Inc, CSL Pharma Ltd, Cerberus private equity, General Atlantic private equity, Imperial Tobacco, JPMorgan, Price Waterhouse consulting, Thomson-Reuters and the UK government.
Howard is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, has studied in his field at LBS & Michigan and is an occasional lecturer at Cass Business School.
